This important survey finding shared by Nigeria Health Watch is reiterating the importance of Primary Health Care specially in Nigeria and all over the World. Additionally, it emphasizing the need to put our PHCs in the best condition possible. Thus, we are using this opportunity to commend the ongoing revitalization of PHCs under the purview of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
However, we are also asking that Oralhealth should be incorporated into the RevitalizedPHCs. This is needed to address the huge burden of oral diseases affecting almost half of global population. In addition, oral diseases such as gum diseases, dental caries have significant economic impact. Therefore, putting the mouth in RevitalizedPHCs is singular decision that would yield both health and economic gains.
