There are many places where it is best to do this, but all can be summarised into two‼️

First among those at risk. Here, the awareness is focused on the risk factors, what the disease looks like across its spectrum, preventive means, available treatments and the need to prevent early. This is what we have been doing, leading to weekly #NomaAlert every epidemiological week,

Secondly among those who are not at risk. Here, the focus is on the burden, and the irreversible damages the disease does, and the role everyone can play.

The inclusion of #Noma to the list of Negleted Tropical Diseases (#NTDs) and its current 2023-2030 roadmap, also means that a sense of urgency should be added to the current sets of activities in order to #BeatNTDs and achieve #Zeronoma
